A Superbowl-style party centered around the King James Bible rather than the Superbowl. Remembering the Anabaptist theologian Balthazar Hubmaier, burned at the stake on this day in 1528. We will view the movie “A Lamp in the Dark.”
Florida School Shooter Nikolas Cruz, “Cross” in Spanish, does his deed on Ash Wednesday???
This has interesting connections to Norse mythology. Did someone program him? Or is the programming at a deeper level, where the “gods” interact with men?
// The early Pagan origins of Ash Wednesday
This ritual “imposition of the ashes” is purportedly in imitation of the repentant act of covering oneself in dust and ashes. The marking of believers on Ash Wednesday is done in combination of another extra-biblical routine called “Lent.” Despite Christ’s command to his followers to abstain from the practice of disfiguring their faces during fasting, it has become a regular practice. He also told us to wash our faces during a fast.
The practice of putting ashes on one’s forehead has been known from ancient times. In the Nordic pagan religion, placing ashes above one’s brow was believed to ensure the protection of the Norse god, Odin. This practice spread to Europe during the Vikings conquests. This laying on of ashes was done on Wednesday, the day named for Odin, Odin’s Day. Interestingly enough, according to Wikipedia, one of Odin’s names is Ygg. The same is Norse for the World Ash. This name Ygg, closely resembles the Vedic name Agni in pronunciation.
The Norse practice which has become known as Ash Wednesday was itself, drawn from the Vedic Indian religion. Ashes were believed to be the seed Agni , the Indian fire god. It is from this name that the Latins used for fire, ignis. It is from this root word that the English language got the words, ignite, igneous and ignition. Agni was said to have the authority to forgive sins. Ashes were also believed to be symbolic for the purifying blood of the Vedic god Shiva, which it is said had the power to cleanse sins. //

Many Protestants are returning to Rome, like Peter Kreeft. Because, as he says,
“…Catholics had a very high view of human reason and of human culture and of human art and of the human person and of human things.”
So human reason is valued over the word of God, and trust in the King James Bible is seen as ignorance.
From the introduction to the Nestle-Aland 28th edition:
“The 28th edition of the Novum Testamentum Graece…represents a new level of scientific research on the text of the Greek New Testament and offers a text newly established on this basis.” (in violation of the historic confessions, which tell us that nothing is to be added to the Bible that they had—Ed)
Science is always tentative, and always gives us a tentative word of God. That logically leads to Rome, since the Bible seems to contradict itself in the modern versions, and people can be confused into accepting a human institution’s claims to be infallible.
In this youtube video, an entity makes eye contact with a woman, which she compares to the Egyptian dog god Anubis, for which she is overwhelmed with reverence. These modern entities called Bigfoot and Dogman are consistent with what the ancients experienced as their gods.
There appear to be two arguments being made against KJVOnlyism.
1. It is better to presuppose that only the original autographs are inerrant, and try to reconstruct them by scientific investigation, than to presuppose that the King James Bible only is inerrant.
2. It is not necessary to have an inerrant Bible, since people can be saved and grow in the faith by reading ones that only have the doctrines that I consider important intact.
These arguments, though contradictory, are often both asserted by the same person.
A UFO believer saw this in the Arizona desert on Google Earth, and proposes that it might be a crashed UFO. The tiny white circle on the upper right of the object was added by the computer program used to view the photo. Here are the results of my investigation.
The object is at the upper left. At the lower right, the white truck and a black truck seem to be at a tent camp on the current Google Earth Image.
If one follows the road out toward civilization, one comes to what appears to be a ranch gate and houses and corrals. Also, there is this round object, apparently a water tank about 20 feet tall, going by the shadow, and of the same size and appearance of the object. Have we solved the mystery?
I did not know that black vultures kill cattle, but according to this they do. This may account for some cattle mutilation reports. They may not just kill the calves while they are being born.
